Hamakom's Community of Caring is committed to offering support and caring to our congregants and their loved ones. Our staff and volunteer teams reach out to those in the Hamakom family who are in need of support and to those celebrating happy occasions as well.

For more information about our Community of Caring, resources available, or to volunteer your help, complete the “show you care” form or contact Heather Binder at (818) 854-7155 or hbinder@hamakomla.org.

Upcoming Initiatives

We provide mother-like support to families and individuals in our community and beyond experiencing a challenging time.

We believe no one should ever feel alone; our goal is to bring light and hope to those who need it. Maman offers hands-on assistance as well as emotional and practical support to help these families through their hardship. We show up with Mama-bear fierceness and motherly tenderness. Maman is 100% volunteer and community based.

Hamakom and the ECC are collecting the following items for Maman through February 2025:

  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Coloring books
  • Stress balls
  • Bubbles
  • Mini puzzles
  • Fidget spinners
  • Mini stuffed animals
  • Mini sketch boards
  • Play-Doh

Please drop them off in the bin located in the main hallway.
